PWSA FALL TRYOUT INFORMATION

In April 2023 during a PWSA roundtable with member associations a pilot program was approved with respect to tryouts/player movement for the 2023/2024 playing season. PWSA will be proceeding with the pilot as outlined below.

Here are the dates in which coaches/managers may speak to players/parents regarding the 2023/2024 playing season. (Players, and coaches are categorized by the 2023 division they are registered with).

• U9/11 – August 22/23
• U13 – August 29/23
• U15 I – August 15/23
• U15 II – August 29/23
• U17 I – August 15/23
• U17 II – August 29/23
• U19 I – August 8/23
• U19 II – August 22/23
• Intermediate- August 15/23
• Women – August 22/23
• U23 – August 22/23

In addition this fall Players/Coaches who plan to tryout/coach/register with another association different than the one they belong to in the summer of 2023 must obtain a “Permission to Participate” from their departing association. Anyone who is refused permission can reach out to PWSA for an exception. We strongly recommend not waiting until the last minute to make a request to obtain permission. Associations can choose to use our standard form, or use their own version of the form provided it contains the same basic information. Our standard form can be downloaded using the link below.
