2019 Junior Women’s National Team Combines

SELECTION PROCESS & ELIGIBILITY

Softball Canada will be hosting 3 Combines across the country as the first step in the identification process for the 2019 WBSC Americas U-17 Women’s Qualifier team and the 2020 WBSC U-18 Women’s World Cup team.
The Combines are open to athletes born in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
Athletes will take part in activities that will test both their fitness and softball skill levels.
Prior to the start of each Combine, athletes will be assigned to a smaller group and provided with an arrival time. Each player will attend one half day session within the listed dates.

Attendance to any ONE of the Combines is strongly recommended in order to be considered.

Following scouting at provincial and Canadian championships, the final roster will be selected. Note: There will not be a final selection camp.
The 2019 WBSC Americas U-17 Women’s Qualifier will be held October 10 – 20, 2019 in Barranquilla, Colombia.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Those selected to the final roster will be required to pay
an additional player’s fee (up to $4,000) to cover costs associated to their participation on the tea .
