P.W.S.A. – Annual General Meeting

The Provincial Women’s Softball Association Annual General Meeting will be held virtually and in-person (details to follow) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28^th, 2020.

ELECTIONS:

During the AGM, elections for the 2021 P.W.S.A. Board of Directors will take place.

Eligibility to Serve on the Board:  Any individual who is an Individual Member of the Association, who is 18 years or older, who has the power under law to contract, who is not an employee or paid contractor of the Association, who supports the aims and objectives of the Association, and who agrees to abide by the By-Laws of the Association, may be elected as a Director.

Nominations:  Each Team Member, Association Director may propose nominees for election to the P.W.S.A. Board of Directors.  Such nominees must be submitted to the P.W.S.A. Nominating Chairman no later than 30 days in advance of the Annual General Meeting. (Deadline – October 29, 2020)

Requirement  – Must be committed to:

* Five (5) weekends for Board of Directors’ meetings
* Working three (3) P.W.S.A. Provincial Playoff Tournaments at which your child is not participating
* Approximately twenty (20) hours per week of administrative work year round, approximately forty (40) hours of administrative work June through September.
* Sitting on at least six committees

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS:

We will accept proposed amendments for 2021 to the By-Laws and Operating Rules, exclusive of any playing rules.  (Playing Rules set for 2020 have not been tested as a result of COVID-19)

Proposed amendments must be submitted to the Rules and Constitution Chairperson at info@pwsaontario.com and must be received at least thirty (30) days before the Annual General Meeting.  (Deadline – October 29, 2020)
